Mostar, a city renowned for its cultural and religious variety and sadly violent recent past. A Place where East meets the West. Walk the iconic Mostar bridge, which gave city its name, (“most” is Croatian for “bridge”) and still separates the Muslim and Christian sides of town, take a look of small bridge „Kriva cuprija”, the Koski Mehmed Pasa Mosque, buy souvenirs at the famous Bazar, and enjoy a delicious Bosnian tradition called cevapi for lunch. Since this
is a private tour you can have more or less time on each place which we visit.
A few short kilometers from Mostar lies the magnificent karstic spring of river Buna. Blagaj is settled beneath few hundred meters high rock under which river Buna comes out. There we will visit a sixteenth-century “tekija”, or Dervish Monastery and learn about preor early Ottoman era in Hercegovina and also visit the unique spring of the river Buna. Pocitelj a fortified Otoman village and fort from the 15th century.
Itinerary
-Upon pick up at your accommodation/cruise ship, I will take you on unique journey into land of cultural diversities.
-Our first stop is coffee, breakfast or just a restroom stop in Neum.
After that we are heading to Pocitelj where we will have a walk through the village and the castle.
Next stop is Blagaj-a place where history, religion, and one of kind nature mixes together in a mystic spiced combination where we will walk to the spring of the river Buna.
– Drive towards Mostar lasts 30min and we will pull over in west Mostar and from there we will take walk through the old town.
– During our walk you will see “Kriva cuprija” small bridge, Old bridge and Koski Mehmed Pasa’s Mosque. After a walking tour and free time we are leaving Mostar and heading back to Dubrovnik filled with impressions
